It's good, and I was using it today, and it would be rape with addons...but without them, meh.

Nice and really fast, but also missing way to many features for me to be using it for now. But I will definitely be checking for updates.

Like mentioned before, it needs RSS, and Bookmark sync across computers (they even had extensions for FF2) for start.

AFAIK, it's 100% Open source. If there was spyware, the blogsphere would have a fit and put google's head on a pike.

It's nice, but it definitely needs work.
It is extremely annoying when you close all tabs the entire browser closes, hopefully they'll just let you show the "homepage".
And of course add-ons would make it soo much better.

OK, I'm assuming you're not completely technical, so I'll explain this as down to earth as I can just cause IDK how technical minded you are and Etta obviously didn't take time to research this at all just like a bunch of other people.

People are going googoo eyed over NoScript, but they don't realize that with how Chrome is programmed and setup, NoScript isn't really going to do jack shit for you in Chrome. Nothing in Chrome is allowed access to your PC, because for all intents and purposes Chrome isn't being ran in the same area where your PC is it's given its own private spot. It's basically a jail. Nothing is allowed out. The instant you close it, all tracks of it being ran vanish for the most part. Just with sandboxing alone (if you want to read more, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandbox...uter_security), makes Chrome well over 100 times more secure than FireFox, Opera, and IE. It pretty much has NoScript built in...the scripts will try to run, but they won't be able to do anything because Chrome is sandboxed.

Chrome also has an improved JavaScript handler. This doesn't mean much to you unless you use a lot of javascript stuff, but it has improved performance on that stuff by a load.

Every other browser is written using the standard Windows style thing of controls. The problem with this is that they allow the lowest trusted stuff to write stuff to your PC (like say, let something you put on VERY LOW TRUST to write to your PC's harddrive and put a virus on it), but Chrome is written so that untrusted stuff can't write to your PC at all. Combined with sandboxing, you're basically 100% safe.

Those are basically the 4 things that make it special, unfortunately most people are too dumb to look it up and actually research what makes it different (jesus they made a comic JUST for this) (not talking about you btw, talking about others.) or not technology apt so they don't get it or don't care (but then a lot of them say LOL JUST THE SPEED THATS IT). It's less about the speed (tho that is great), but that it's infinitely more secure than Opera or FireFox, and that's without plugins. That's what the nerdgasms are for, is that it's fast & mostly because it's an uber secure browser that makes Opera & FF & IE all look bad on Day 1 because it actually keeps user security in mind (if you can give me a reason why untrusted stuff should be allowed to write stuff to my computer, I'll give you a cookie) while still being fast and functional and made very good movements towards security that no other browser really has yet.

Nein. Incognito Mode just hides stuff from history and the Omnibar. Both are sandboxed.

I wonder if they can get FF to catch up on some of these ideas. I'm very happy with FF3 because it's fast as I want for now. I think chrome totally copied opera by having a speed dial page when you open a new blank tab.

The only thing that is pissing me off about this is no language selection.

I'm stuck with the chinese version because my operating system is in chinese.

BTW i checked the help section and all the options, NO LANGUAGE SELECTION]

Edit: Fixed it by changing languages in control panel, but the option to select a language from download menu is still nice to have.
